Should I be worried about W32/Conficker?

Well, yes. Of course you should. The Conficker worm has all of the makings of a nasty April Fools Day joke. It is wide spread, it is digging itself in and making itself hard to get rid of and nobody really knows what it will turn into.
That being said, the Conficker worm isn't really much different than many other worms in the past. In fact it is better than some because there are already patches available to fix the underlying problem that is exploited by this worm. (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS08-067.mspx)
If you have patched your systems, either through proactively reading and following Microsoft's recommendations or through Windows Update services, and if you have up-to-date antivirus, your systems are probably safe. This isn't to say that something nasty isn't going to happen on April 1st when Conficker does its deed but it probably won't involve your PC or server.
The fact that you are reading this post probably means that you aren't at risk because you are already taking proactive interest in your security.
I'll see you on April 2nd, if the world hasn't come to an end because of Conficker...
