There are many different application development methodologies out in the industry today. You have the old school "Structured Waterfall" methodology, the new and improved "Rapid Application Development" just to name two. So, what is the right methodology? Does everything fit in one nice little methodology box?
If you talk to people in the industry that have lived through the different methodologies, you should not be surprised that complete agreement would be very unlikely. You will hear them say things like "depends on the situation, depends on the risk, depends on the cost, and depends on the capabilities on the team" and so on.
Over the next few posts, I will provide information that one should consider when deciding on a methodology.
